The beauty of these practices is that it guides you not only into a deeper connection with your body but into deeper layers healing. Learn to regulate your nervous system from the stresses of the world and the impact of trauma. Trauma from our family of origin creates core deficiency beliefs that impact how we show up in the world. As children, have fundamental needs to be loved, protected and nurtured. If attachment is threatened, we turn the blame onto ourselves alleviate the pain of our parents by unnaturally take it in.
This losing of ourselves in escapism continues into adulthood where we are connected to everything but ourselves. These patterns are compounded with the stresses of the world, which further disconnect us from who we truly are. Our modern world is loud and enticing and it drowns out natural attunement. Losing yourself creates cycles of anxiety and depression. This creates a search towards substances, addictions and people.
We can learn to seek within and nurture the relationship with ourselves through integrated practices of sound healing, meditation, breathwork, yoga and more. Trauma lives within the body and mindful practices help work through these cycles. The invitation now is to shed patterns of doubt, shame and unworthiness carried from early wounding and re-discover your ability to heal from within.
